Future Building

A Letter from the Board of Directors

Dear Friends

For over 50 years Alderwood Little League has been a providing a program that makes a difference by inspiring and enabling the healthy development of all young people, from every circumstance, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring members of our community. Today Alderwood Little League supports nearly 500 children and their families annually from within the communities of Lynnwood, Brier, Bothell, Mountlake Terrace and Edmonds. Our mission is to "implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of great sportsmanship, honesty, courage, and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be great, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens". Since our inception in 1960 we have seen the organization evolve and mature like so many of the thousands of children who have passed through our program.

Today, without question, we are one of our community's greatest assets. But, each year the challenge grows to maintain a program that is open an accessible to every child in our community who wants to participate. Our solution to meet this objective is to build a new Community Club House on the site of the Alderwood Little League Campus. To accomplish this challenging but very realistic goal, the Board of Directors will lead the organization through our Go to Bat for the Future capital campaign to raise the necessary funds to build and furnish the facility.

On the following pages you will read more information about our exciting plans and we sincerely hope it moves you to support this great project. Naturally, we need the support and involvement of our entire community to make this dream a reality. We know that we will succeed, especially if we have help from people like you. Please know that you are invited and welcome to help us…in any way…to give this Club House to the kids and families of our community. Please consider joining our special team of donors and volunteers organized to make a real difference. Thank you in advance for you interest and willingness to help.

Sincerely,

Alderwood Little League Board of Directors
