Team jersey & hat will be provided to each player.
Baseball pants, baseball cleats, and baseball socks are strongly recommended. (Team managers may recommend uniform colors for pants and socks.)
Protective cup is recommended for all male players.
Baseball Glove is required. Leather glove is recommended, available at sporting goods stores. Smaller length and size gloves are best for young players.
Baseball bat, optional. Bats will be available for team use.
All player equipment must meet Little League guidelines.
T-ball is an entry level instructional program where players are introduced to fundamental skills and rules of baseball, teamwork, and respect for coaches. Players learn in a FUN environment.
Teams are formed by school / neighborhood groups. Players may request to play with a friend.
Hitting: Players will be taught the fundamental bat grip; batting stance; and use a level swing of the bat.
Base Running: Players will learn the fundamentals of base running, including the direction; touching the base; and avoiding fielders.
Throwing: Players will learn the fundamental 2 or 3 finger grip of the ball; proper stance; starting in the "T" position; stepping toward the target; and follow through.
Fielding: Players will learn basic fielding skills including two hand catch; and staying in front of the ball.

Practices: Practices are organized by the team manager with assistance from volunteer coaches. Recommended practice frequency prior to the start of games is twice a week during the pre-season and once a week during the season. Practices will begin approximately three weeks prior to the start of game play. Practices will be held at local school fields in the Edmonds School District.
Games: Teams will participate in two games a week during the regular season. Typically games will be scheduled one weeknight game, in the early evening; and one weekend game, Friday night or Saturday morning/early afternoon. Game schedules will be available at least one week prior to the start of game play. Games will be held at the Alderwood Little League complex.
Games are limited to 6 innings or 1 hour 15 minutes in length. All players will bat each inning using a batting Tee; and all players will play in the field. No scores or standings are kept. Game play will be in accordance with Little League Rules and Local rules.
Season: The seven week season typically starts the week following the Edmonds School District spring break and will end the week before Memorial Day; for a total of 14 to 16 games. See annual calendar for dates.

Parents volunteers will serve as team manager, coaches, dugout coach, assistant during practices, Team parent, Concession Volunteer, and other roles as may be identified by the team manager. Training is provided for manager or coaching positions, more information in Parent section.
Parents are expected to have their child at each practice and game on time, and communicate with the team manager when they will be absent. Parents are strongly encouraged to practice with players at home to develop skills.
